The University of California (UC) and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory are committed to maintaining the highest standards of conduct in the fulfillment of its education and research mission, and in the pursuit of DOE’s science mission. Towards this end, employees have the right and the responsibility to report concerns pertaining to management of the Laboratory’s facilities and operations, including environmental, worker safety and health, quality, and improper governmental activities, without fear of reprisal.
UC has established a systemwide, independently-operated whistleblower hotli ne to receive calls or web-based reporting from faculty, staff, students or members of the public, which allows for anonymous reporting. The hotline relays the reported concerns to appropriate officials for processing. The toll-free number is 1-800-403-4744. Web-based reports can be made by accessing http://universityofcalifornia.edu/hotline. Posters are available for download here.
