When purchasing items or services, remember to maintain all associate quality records in an organized, easily retrievable manner that aligns with records management policies. These records – certificates of conformance; certificates of calibration; certified material test reports; drawings; material safety data sheets; inspection, test and maintenance procedures and results; nonconformance reports; etc. – prove that an item or service meets specified performance standards. They are also vital for securing warranties, executing returns and resolving vendor disputes. Contact QA@lbl.gov with any questions you have.
